Taylor Johnson - September
I’d like to nominate Taylor Johnson for his efforts to raise money for Charity.
His mother was diagnosed with a rare form of cancer last year and Taylor has been so supportive to her throughout. I was Taylor’s English teacher last year and despite the fact that he was quite obviously upset and distraught about the news over his mother, he didn’t let it affect his school work and attitude to learning.
This year Taylor organised a bake sale in October to raise funds for cancer support services and he managed to raise almost £100 by himself. He has since told me he is in the process of organising another event to support cancer services in England.
Alessio Williams – October
At the start of last year, Alessio decided to learn the guitar. He has dedicated so much time and effort to developing his skills and frequently shows up each week having learnt a brand new song. He is now the most accomplished guitarist we have and is a regular at the guitar group where he is always happy to help the other students who are new to the guitar.
Leoni Hogg Cunningham - November
So far this year Leoni has helped support some of the year 11 students in lesson to prepare for end of topic tests and their progress exams, she has shared her own resources and experiences and acted as a real role model for some of those in top set double science (to the point where they ask for her when she is not there to support).
Also in her own studies she has helped create some really ingenious revision materials for the year 12 Biology groups – including Biopoly (monopoly Biology revision game), a mitosis revision song and video and a sixth form biology leaderboard. She has also done this in her time in year 10 and 11 at Bromfords.
Additionally, she has taken part in voluntary work experience and has plans to do more voluntary work in the future.
