Ethos and Values

The Bromfords School and Sixth Form College is a place where we are able to get to know our students well and where we can support their academic and personal development.

It is important to us that we are a school where our students are happy; where they feel safe and able to express themselves; where they can access a curriculum that is challenging and appropriate; where they are part of a vibrant community with much on offer to them; and, most importantly, it is vital that we are a school that allows them to be successful.

At The Bromfords School and Sixth Form College we are focused on supporting students to achieve the highest standards and our key aim is to ensure that the quality of teaching and learning is high. We believe that, for continuous success, it is vital to work collaboratively with other schools and community groups in order to maximise opportunities for our students.

Our students' academic progress is regularly monitored to ensure they are all doing as well as they possibly can and we aim to provide our students with high quality care, guidance and support. Students are able to take part in a wide range of extra-curricular and sporting activities and we believe this is vital in developing the ‘whole’ student.

It is key for us to develop confident learners who are ready to tackle any barriers to success. We also recognise the importance of celebrating such successes in order to develop confidence, to promote positive role models and to foster individual and collective pride.

Partnership with parents is absolutely vital for us at The Bromfords School and Sixth Form College and we like to encourage parents to join the Local Governing Body or to get involved in the series of Parents' Forums that run during the academic year.
