AS and A Level Results, 2017

Students and staff at The Bromfords School and Sixth Form College are celebrating some outstanding examination results. Year 13 students are this morning receiving the results for their A Level and BTEC qualifications, while Year 12 students collected their AS Level results.

Headteacher Dan Gee commented, “As a school we are delighted with this year’s A Level and BTEC results.  We are very proud of our students and these results are a reflection of the hard work by both students and staff, along with the support from their families. While we are thrilled with the overall performance of our students, we are particularly happy to see the number of top A*-A grades rise to 18% along with the number of A*-B grades rise to 43%.

I am also delighted to announce that 89% of our BTEC entries were graded as a Distinction* or a Distinction. We are incredibly proud of our students and wish them good luck as they move to University or to the career of their choice.”

GCSE  Results, 2016

57% of our Year 11 students achieved 5 or more A*-C grades, with 52% achieving A*-C grades in English and Mathematics. 97% of students achieved 5 or more A*-G grades and there were many outstanding individual achievements. Notable among these were  Rosie Murray who achieved 10 A* grades and a D* in BTEC Business Studies; Tom Bryan who achieved 7A*, 2 A grades, a B grade and a D* in BTEC Business Studies; Amy Lebby who achieved 6 A* grades, 4 A grades and a B grade; Rhianne Mullins who achieved 3 A* grades, 6 A grades and a B grade and Ellie Crocker who achieved 2A* grades, 5 A grades and 3 B grades.

Headteacher, Daniel Gee, commented, “Yet again, there have been some excellent GCSE results for our students. This year’s cohort worked incredibly hard over the course of the last two years and these results reflect their commitment to their studies. Ofsted judged our school to be ‘Good’ in May 2016 and we are delighted that the progress of our students continues in that vein. These results also sit alongside our recent Post-16 results that showed a significant 12% improvement of the top A*-B grades at AS Level.
