Prince's Trust Award

As a SEND Department we offer an accredited course through the Prince’s Trust (Entry or Level 1) to students in Key Stage 4 (Years 10 and 11) as an option course. Students are selected by The Bromfords School staff, based on their attainment data and SEND, and follow our Support Pathway. They are taught by Mrs Rafiq (Aspiring SENCO) and Mrs Strange (Assistant SENCO). The class sizes are kept deliberately small (12 or less students).

The Prince’s Trust programme is nationally recognised, was established by His Majesty, King Charles III and is portfolio based (internally and externally moderated), so does not include any examination. It enhances our students’ broad and balanced curriculum, complementing their chosen GCSE / BTEC subjects and equips students with invaluable life skills, fostering personal growth and academic achievement, alongside developing their literacy, numeracy, ICT and interpersonal skills.
